Clark: Election news requires judgment

The second Republican debate this week at times sounded less presidential than it did like a cat fight taken to “the next level.” National politics seems to have evolved — or devolved — toward such sound and fury.

My favorite exchange from Wednesday night featured Rand Paul, who lashed out at Donald Trump:

“I think there’s a sophomoric quality about Mr. Trump ... about his visceral response to attack people on their appearance, short, tall, fat ugly.”
